Viqal's new look

Log in today and Viqal looks different. We've given the dashboard a full redesign: cleaner, quicker to get around, and everything you already set up is right where you left it.

The new look is the easy part. The bigger news is how much more you can do now.

More freedom in how you reach guests

Proactive messages have grown into something bigger. You build a message once as a Template, then put it to work in two places: a Guest Journey that runs on its own, or a one-off Campaign.

  • Templates come in far more formats now. Plain text, photos, buttons, carousels, lists, surveys and more, with room for real calls-to-action and richer content.

  • Guest Journey is the new home for proactive messages. It reaches guests automatically at more points across their stay, with better targeting behind it.

  • Campaigns let you send a one-off message to a group you pick: a promotion, an event invite, a seasonal hello.

How templates feed into Guest Journey and Campaigns

Build your own message types

Templates now come in far more formats, and you build them yourself, no developer needed. Plain messages, photos, files, and interactive types your guests can tap, swipe, or fill in. A few examples:

  • Ask guests their expected check-in or check-out time with a tappable list. No typing for them.

  • Run a review flow: one message with three buttons (great, okay, poor). Anyone who taps β€œgreat” gets a follow-up with your Google review link.

  • Show room upgrades or local experiences as a carousel guests swipe through, each with a photo and a book button.

  • Send a location pin, a file, a call-to-action button, a multi-product list, and more.

Ten formats in total, across plain, interactive, and specialised types.

Template library

A new library of pre-built templates for the most common guest interactions, so you can switch on proven flows in seconds instead of building from scratch. Available now:

  • Guest registration

  • Expected arrival time

  • Expected departure time

  • Service request

  • Late checkout request

  • Early check-in request

  • Invoice / folio

  • Maintenance request

  • Add other members in a group booking

Sharper targeting

  • Better segments. You can now filter guests on a lot more, including live PMS states you couldn't touch before, like who's checked in or checking out today. The right guests hear from you, and no one else does.

That's Phase 1. There's more on the way, new channels and features, and it'll all build on the same templates and journeys you're setting up today.
